So, IF that were to happen at 2900 - 3k I'm just wondering if that caused the knock I was getting. I think I picked up on something @warp9.9 said about my giving more throttle in the video than was within range of the stepper. So, does the stepper stop doing its job at a certain RPM or throttle position? Just curious as it's all "academic" now. That part will be in the landfill come Monday.

U need a stepper motor hooked up or u will set codes and the engine lite will be on and u do not want that.
if that is a spare that u r going to through away then send it to me.
 
the guy that works for me has an idle air motor checker that extends and retracts the motor with it off the car.
so i see no reason why that would not extend and retract the stepper motor to clean it up real good. that is what he would do on his Camaro fuel injection always have one ready to go.
