RX 4010’s with a cut claw. I do feel it on the leg but I’m used to it now. The intake sound is intoxicating.
That looks dope Doc!

What's the size and # for the ones that fit under the Claw? Perhaps someone has a set lying around gathering dust.

Sorry, Ricardo, I gave my set away long ago- K&N2780s
On the dyno, we found the RamAir to flow a little more air, and fuel had to be added, but due to the different season, atmospheric air pressure stuff was different.
No significant HP was gained.

It's displeasing me ! If keeping the bear claw intact , I would put another Ramair on but I am liking the look of the pods exposed . Makes the engine look kinda bigger ! :sneaky:

Yeah! That tiny little sucker does need to have a larger look alright!

The answer to the BIG LOOK without a flithy knee would be a 1 into 3 filter plenum. I know Tom (aka Owl on other forums) had one and somebody on here (@CanberraR3 ?) had one too. That or @leatal modified carpenter scoop.

I have the prototype ITG sat here and that snags on everything - and gets oil everywhere

And very raucous.

That is possibly the best look i've seen!...love it...so much that i think i will go the same way.Everything is the right size and keeps it all in perspective..to me. Those big suckers will really get air..most important....NICE.. big time!

But I'm getting a whole lot of ideas right here!
If you already have a ramair installed, then fitting k&n's is straight forward. Just take the ramair off, unplug the AIT sensor and plastic tie it close to where the filters will be going...between a couple of them is fine so its in the same air temperature as what is entering the filters....
I got a cheap wee filter and put it over the sensor to protect it from knocks.
The K&N's go easily on the throttle bodies...make sure the hoseclip can be reached with your screwdriver from underneath..
Done!

Yes the AIT sensor is in that little filter. I don't like it in the filter personally. It gets heat soaked when parked and the idle is all over the place until it settles down.

The stock harness will be too short. Im running the extension from Ramair.

Yep this is a problem you can maneuver the loom and get it out from under the tank but it can fall back under and get hot making idling rough. I have plugs, pins and wiring and can make extension leads for them so its easy to relocate the sensor.

Nath...do I smell a hint of a TFC..maybe????...are you not telling us something???
I wish Tal ! I did get caught up in it all , but seeing the price good sense prevailed . Maybe wait a bit til they have ironed out any potential gremlins ? Besides , Taya would have my ball sack for a purse !
