That looks neat , and by what others have said , would stiffen the whole affair . What are the dome nuts fixed to ? I would be paranoid about it working loose and the bolt dropping into the intake . Is that possible ?

It does look cool !The 4040 filters are set up for a 1/4 bolt. Thats got a locknut on it. The acorn nut is just on top with locktite.
They hold very good if they are seated properly. Mine have been tested to 170+ mph winds, and many miles of bumpy roads.The 4040s are huge. Not much will be left of the claw. I just put them on, and I haven't decided if I'm gonna cut the claw or run them as is. Beware, there isn't much for the filters to grab onto as the throttle bodies were designed for that plastic plenum.
