K & N options for Touring?

I was going to buy a set of K & Ns for my 2010 Touring, I checked out Flipmeister's site, he lists the larger filters as not fitting the touring due to tank shape. I sent him an email last week asking for clarification, but received no answer. Will the smaller filters flow enough, or has anyone done a work around to make the larger filters fit?
 
I guess I should clarify my question, I ordered a Jardine full system, and also plan on doing a Carpenter package.
 
It didn't sound like it from what it said on Flipmeister's site, on a standard rocket you would have to remove or cut the bearclaw, it looks like, by the size of it.
 
iirc it says it on flips site, the touring tank is different to the other rockets so the single undertank RU 5111 dont fit the tourings. it barely fits the other rockets!
 
The rearmost throttle body is too close to the tank to allow the larger filter to fit. The RU-2780 is your only viable choice.
