I remember riding home to my farm in freezing temps in the 80s and 90s when my hands were so cold I couldn't unlock the gate or get my gear off. Near wet myself a few times because I couldn't unzip. Funny now......

thanks guys I did not know about the recharge thingy I will do just what you suggest . I just wished I could go for a ride on my birthday unfortunately up here in january 99% of the time it is around -20 % centigrade or worse and snow covers most roads I guess I will have to redo a euro trip in 2013 to feel good .

Lucky u know now mate because it is very important to keep those things oiled properly to keep moisture out of your throttle body's. if your riding round with bone dry un oiled pods that isn't a good thing especially if u ride in the rain. I ride mine even in absolute bucketing rain sometimes with exposed filters and she never misses a beat due to properly oiled filters.

I used the K&N cleaning kit and oiled the filters properly .thanks for reminding me of the necessities to oil the pleated paper filters I did not do it last time as I had the oil in a bottle and did not bother to fill a spray bottle to do the job properly.
but on the plus side it hardly ever rain in alberta.
