just went dark about 2 hours ago

I've got about 70 miles on my Riken Raptor (a la xhdskip). Temps are in the 40's
here at the intersection of the Mason Dixon line and the Eastern Continental Divide, but I plan on doing at least another 100 this weekend.
I was getting less than 4000 on the Metzlers wearing them down to the steel nub. 7,800 miles and on my third rear (now a CT), second front tire (Avon Cobra now).

I know it is possible to get over 6000 on one tire, but not the way I like to ride.

The CT is distinctively different, but really kind of subtle. I'm riding gently right now, not doing the full lean into the curves. I'm riding the way I did 4 months ago when I moved from the Bonnie to the Rocket.
I've been surprised that there wasn't more difference in the twisties.
I did my research, so I've had no major surprises.
I feel the road better. Notice the difference more at slow speeds. Sticks like glue on wet roads.
I can see that a little more skill is needed with the CT, but anyone riding the Rocket should have that little more skill.

I love using the torque of the Rocket, and I'm glad I won't have to spend $1500 a year on tires. If I had to, I would, make no mistake about that. Just glad I found a very good alternative.

Welcome to the darkside BehereNow,
your cookie should arrive shortly:D
Glad you like it, I know I sure do,
and even the wife likes it on her Rocket,
she was a little apprensive at first riding mine,
but one twist of the throttle was all it took for her too.;)
