me personally I would not in any way shape or form would have bought one if it was a rice burner, would have taken serious thought if it was a hardly.all my bikes have been triumphs still have them all have not owned 20 or more like some but being a triumph and liking the bike not much thought went into it

My Mulberry Mistress would be mine no matter her pedigree. She's bold, beautiful and bodaciously bombastic. The fact that she's British, just addsto her panache and I do have a serious penchant for babes with a British accent...

OMG:

My first 3 bikes were British. An Ariel, a Norton and my brothers BSA Lightening (which he never rode). I never had a Triumph because the dealer in Grand Rapids was such an arse, as you say, I would never have wanted to ever have had to deal with him. I bought the bike purely out of fascination with its looks, torque, and horsepower. I wanted something different than the herd and that's what I got.

I can't say being British was a factor on the positive side because I was concerned about dealer network, parts and accessories. Since it was a Triumph, I though it would be another brand I hadn't owned so why not give it a shot. I maintain my bike and all I can say is....so far so good. I'm not disappointed yet and I don't expect to be unless I get stranded along side of the road or can't get it fixed for lack of parts.

I had a 2005 Hinkley Bonnieville for a couple of years. I beat the daylights out of it every time I rode it. It never broke anything, it never even leaked any oil. I WAS IMPRESSED. That experience was so good that I felt the Rocket would probably be another good choice.

There's no way on earth I'd have bought a Rocket if it was German and probably not if was Japanese, Italian or American. Hard to say which is more important - nationality or brand - but I always had a soft spot for Jaguars too.
I had some crappy Jaguars they are a nightmare but the new ones Im sure are better

DAVE I think you will really like the modded ROCKETS since you like the big V8 bikes

Hi Guy's
Did the fact that the Rocket is British play any part in your decision to buy one
Would you have bought it if it had been Japanese, German or even Italian
For me it was just an added bonus, I was hooked from the start ;)
