is there anyone with a Jardine full exhaust that has had issues trying to seal the connection between the header and the cat delete pipe, I can't get this to seal no matter how hard i clamp it, using exhaust band clamps. I have been trying to avoid using the u-bolt type of clamps. The cat delete pipe slips over the end of the header but there is not enough space to use an exhaust gasket so i'm wondering what others may have done to seal that connection. the end of the cat delete pipe is a solid circle, no slits in it like the exhaust pipes have. I'm think that exhaust leak may be part of my back firing issue when coming off of the throttle, it is driving me nuts

a muffler shop might be able to expand the pipe just a little
jmo
it is going to bang a little around 1500 because it sucks air back through the end of the muffler
of coarse if you pull in the clutch and use your brake then it don't bang lol
if can't stand it you could choke down the ends of the pipe.

i don't mind the decel pop, but it is getting really excessive lately, and some really loud backfiring, i'm afraid i'm going to go by a cop one day and it backfires, he freaks out, and i get shot. The two pipes are a close fit, and i can't get the cat delete pipe to compress enough to seal against the header pipe, i thought about cutting some slits in it, but i'm not sure if that would work, and don't want to screw up the cat delete pipe
