Thanks for the common sense logic on the posting. I would like to buy you a drink if we cross roads someday EasTexRIII. Southwest Michigan is a hell of a ride from your door! I've met quite a few good eggs in this forum. More knowledge than any college class or board room table I've been to. Thanks and a tip-of-the-hat!

$200 engine crane...This little one is good for 1.2 tonnes...I can lift the whole bike nearly 3feet and work under it without any interference. Of course I do have to play a trust game with my snatch straps....:whitstling:

Sorry to any and all individuals who have invested money and time in fabricating or purchasing lifting devices for the R3T. My reply wasn't ment to one up anyone. I have followed the different posts on the subject. The fixture that has been shown before and the drawing shown with photos is superior to what I have discussed. I can assure everyone reading this that I am NOT a "special snowflake". lol. I'm just a retired auto executive who worked in maintenance for 30+ years. My simple lifting device was ment to be a new simple device that almost anyone can build and works better AND safer than 2x4 on a jack.... Simple
No apologies needed @Chip . Lifting the beast has been discussed and debated since I joined this forum . The drawing I posted was evolved from another members post and idea . We are all here to help one another and by pooling and gathering knowledge is how most problems are overcome ! Your ideas and questions are most welcome , keep em coming .

I´m using this:

Works well with a regular motorcycle jack.

For minor maintenance, washing and even storage I use this: Triumph Rocket 3-Lifter d 8mm - Becker-Technik

Just got the bike back in one piece today so only changing the coolant left and I´m ready for next season.

And this post is a perfect example of these points:

The absolute stupidity of that statement is that reading old posts is not a bad idea, but asking a "fresh question" about a previously covered subject always brings about new ideas sometimes an even improved way of doing something or even some newly discovered products that have not been mentioned before.

I have a big Blue bike lift - got it for my Rocket 3 but have just purchased the kit that fits the holes at rear of engine on the R3T these are a superb tool , the bike is very stable even at full height. Removal of wheels etc is made simple.
