Its tyre time, first replacement

i must say my initial impressions of the Brigdestone are very good, Grip is on par with Darkside (and heaps better than Metz when cranked right over) handling lighter but we will see if the grip holds up as the tyre wears and how much life it has, the Dunlop Elite 3 on the front has more feel and feed back than the Avon did and so far is not showing signs of cupping or irregular wear, very happy with it, will start a new thread when I get a few more Km's on them and also after I have been on a decent trip towing

I have the bridgie 240/55 on the rear and the bridgie 130 on the front. I was totally pleased with this combo until a couple of weeks ago when I was riding in severe crosswinds with lots of trucks in front of me. Previously the Rocket was extremely stable and easy to handle in these conditions but with the skinny front tire it was much more of a handful. Also I have noticed the the front end bottoms out when going in and out of my driveway and when I go over speed bumps the underside of the bike scrapes. Then again, I could lose some weight....;) These are minor gripes though, overall the combo is much better than the avons or metzlers I have had in the past and I am going to stay with it. Best of all, the price is right.
