I was behind him, all I saw was rear lock up for 20metres evidenced by the black skid mark then he disappeared over the edge into the scrub.

No damage or serious injury, sore pride only...

Took a Landrover and a tow rope to retrieve the bike...

He had the car tyre on for about a week when this happened, he is adamant that the tyre had nothing to do with the "incident". He is accepting all responsibility...

I can tell you that he had been around that corner a hundred times before, on a bike tyre?
