It's dumb question time

He had the car tyre on for about a week when this happened, he is adamant that the tyre had nothing to do with the "incident". He is accepting all responsibility...

I can tell you that he had been around that corner a hundred times before, on a bike tyre?

I am staying with the Metz at the moment :D
Sounds like He was thinking Square instead of getting on with the Job a giving you a Spanking:cool:
I can honestly say I go around corners Faster with a Darkside then I ever did on a the metz the Darkside dosn't start to slide when pushed hard, the scary part is when it starts to lift the front while still cranked over!!

I can identify with that. Makes this old man's putt bucker. The only time I have had a DK try to break loose under power (in a curve) was when it was too new and not "cooked in". I don't like accidentally getting sideways. It is still fun to kick it out a little but I'm getting much less daring as I age.

its more like the 7% to 10% horse power loss is what is making you feel like you can corner better on a DS tire. But hey if it makes you more compfy then go for it:D

I never have any problems with my Metz locking up but I don't slam the foot on the rear like a panic merchant when I need to stop either lol and she corners just fine also the only issue I've ever had is life Span of the tire but I'm not that fussed I'm fairly happy with the Metz

I agree Mitch I'm happy with the Metz. A bit more than 8500 klm would have been nice. I remember the early 1980's Z1000J and GSX1135 chewing out Avon Roadrunners, Dunlop K81's and Pirelli Phantoms in 5 to 6 thousand klm. They were about $150 back then. Alot of money for a 20 year old who also liked to party. The Metz is probably good value when you compare to what has gone before.Did you ever notice tyres are BLACK just like motorcycle's should be.

I do not like locking the brakes up either I was following two cars running between 45 and 50 mile an hour the front car decided to turn left had no brake lights no turn signals locked it up and hung a left into liquor store, I guess he was not drunk enough the car in front of me sat down on the brakes hard. I had left plenty of distance luckily but noticed the back wheel sliding straight did not kick out but just was curious if that happened to others  Since every but one is self-serve gasoline no one checks air in the tires or the lights, I do not know how many people I have pulled up beside of and told them they had a tire about flat I had one woman tell me she had just put them on there six months ago can you say Big red truck and to think she is driving on the same road we are:eek::eek::eek:

On second Metz 18750km out of the first one, I find not redlining from a standing start gives a nice reward. I personally find the most important thing not only with the Metz is inflation. Done over 5000km on the second rear Metz hardly a mark on it.

Age also plays an important part I take it easy around town in traffic quite simply four wheelers think any for of observation of their surrounding and indicators are not warranted.

Just like Jesse in Brisbane had cars slam the anchors on, thank god for keeping a bit of distance and ABS. Slowed down, changed direction, passed wanker, and smacked his mirror just to remind him to use the bloody things.
