I went and changed to a new Bridgestone on the rear and now my Rocket will not idle! I figured Brits got along with other Brits!!! In all seriousness, I know that a rear tire swap has nothing to do with the problems that I am experiencing, but they happen to coincide at the same time. My R3 will not idle except that I give it some twist. The mixture is rich enough to exhaust smoke and kill mosquitos! Above 2k it runs fine. Sometimes it runs fine at 1.5k. Sometimes it runs fine at 1000. With the throttle lock on and idleing at 1000, sometimes it will go to 2000rpm and then back to the smothered 1000rpm. Has someone vodooed my electronics??? Any help would be appreciated as I know there are some Rocket wizards out there. Thanks Dozerbob.

quick, easy, cheap...check the HT coil leads (all connections to it). especially the forward one. I had a "loose" one. it made the bike act like it was misunderstood.
just crimp the disconnect and a spot of dielectric grease and it stabilized. make them a tight fit.

I've never had a TPS go bad yet, but there is plenty of consensus there too from all past history.

Oh..it's probably the tire but just in case it's not... do what has been suggested here...just in case it's not the tire!

Did you do the tire swap yourself? If so did you accidently damage the crank angle sensor on the bottom rear of the engine? If not then you will need to look at your TPS settings and most likely do a full ISCV reset to sych everything. The above statements about checking the low tension leads to the coils is a very good thing to keep abreast of they do work loose and make the bike act all pucked up!!!
