Probably been posted before but I just got this on email - These guys are nuts
So you think formula one is fast.
Well i did anyway till this Put this on a big screen and turn up the volume. You will say thank you, thank you. Really neat. The last 1.5 mins is at actual speed in the drivers seat!!! Awesome

This is street racing in the TT races – Isle of Man – not many safety nets/barriers here. It’s the island’s only road.
This is an Isle of Man camera video done really well. It lasts about five minutes. Keep in mind that this is the last true motorcycle road race in the world.
Each lap is 37.75 miles long with over 200 turns.
And the record for a single lap is over 130 MPH. There are straight sections where the bikes hit over 200 MPH.
It Is hard to imagine such riding speeds but they do it every year at the end of May and have been doing so since 1907.
There have been over 240 rider fatalities in the history of the event but it is bigger than ever today.
Two riders were killed during the 2012 events.

The helmet cam video over the last minute or so of the clip is
breathtaking. This event makes car racers look like a bunch of pussies. Even Sir Jackie Stewart is amazed by what he is seeing in the video. BTW, former Formula One World Champion John Surtees won this event before he switched from motorcycles to race cars.

Your right mitzy especially the last bit got a rush just viewing it:eek:

Awesome! Seeing the TT in person in one of my 'bucket list' items, along with Dakar, and riding from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia. Those guys have major huevos. In terms of danger, it's roughly the equivalent of one or two players being killed in every Super Bowl.

Shes on the bucket list to get there one day......... Even Rosi reckons they are mad and he would never race there !!!!
I too would like to go, maybe we should try to arrange something?????

Can't wait .. 12 of us going over in 2015 .. doing Tri-Days after the IOM. My mate Stews over in the UK now sorting out the buyback deal for the Triumphs we're going to be using over there. Once in a lifetime opportunity that me and Catherine ain't going to miss ;)

Can just see TC lapping the joint on the open public days before and after.......

In 104 years, there have been 238 deaths!
Pretty much explains it all, I reckon!
THE best motor race in the world - ANY motor, car or cycle!
