They certainly are better because they don't wear out or disintegrate like rubber. Had them on my American Eagle shocks on my Boss Hoss.
That being said, it's been my experience that the shocks are toast before the rubber goes in any case.
I've never had better shocks than the 430s. Dead on rebound control and THE best!
