I don't know, I own a 2001 2500 Ram with a Cummins, Edge box and Jardine 4" exhaust. I kept the straight through muffler. My son has the same thing with a straight pipe. Too loud for me. But a three cylinder bike,,,,well it's got a sound all of it's own!

I always thought mine kind of sounded like a motor boat. Not sure what kind though - I'm not a boater. Been on and near boats though, and thats what it strikes me as. A nice big 4 cylinder burbling through the water.

the one sound I can say for sure, is the engine sound at 1800rpm. that sounds like my fathers 1929 Indian 4 (for those that don't know, Indian bought Henderson 4 cylinder motorcycles in 1928). It's the timing gears on the Indian, on the Rocket I think it's the main gears in the front case.
