Ok, I've got a question for the more mechanically abled than myself.
After removing the gas tank. after unclipping the wireing harness. After removing all that plastic air tubing stuff, and getting it all out of the way.
WHAT DO YOU USE TO GET YOUR PLUGS OUT. There's a guy on another site who said he used a 18mm magnetic plug wrench (socket). Trouble is, I can't find one over here. I've got the name of the manufacturer of his, its KAMASA TOOLS, but they're not sold in the good old U S of A.
I don't want to use the one included with our stock fabulous tool kit, as I'm more than alittle leary of it comming off that allen wrench and getting itself lost under the cam cover. Any suggestions or advice here guys?
Inquiring minds want to know, what EXACTLY do you guys use, and where'd you get it. thanks,,,,,,xhdskip

The one in the tool kit works fine if you tape the socket to the large allen. Unscrew them then use a piece of rubber hose I.D.the O.D. of the plugs and slip the hose over the plugs and spin the last couple threads and pull them out.  Use a box end wrench on the short end of the allen for leverage.. OR go buy a good plug wrench..  LOL

I replaced all six plugs just letting the tank sit on the prop rod using the provided tools from Triumph. That big allen wrench fits in the top of the plug socket, I used a pair of 45 degree needle nose pliers to extract the old plug. Then set the new plug in place with the pliers, put the socket over it, turn it backwards until you feel the first threads mate, spin to seat by hand then use the hex wrench to snug down, replace the plug cap. Whole job took 45 minutes. (I went with Iridium plugs).

I took jacks advice and can't imagine any easier way. sure brought the worry factor down a few notches. I ain't kiddin', that cam cover with the plugs burried so deep and the frame so close had me puzzled. Thanks again jack. Maybe this will help somebody else who either hasn't had this adventure yet, or was just to ignorant to figure it out by themselves. So again thanks for the GOOD advice guys. xhdskip
