hp and torque

So Trirocket3, when you just had Nev's cam and you were getting 170hp what was the average you were geting on gas mileage? and how much did it cost you for the cams and installed and tuned?

I had a set of drop ins here, but never used them.
I went straight to the higher state of tune with full engine rebuild
JD had the drop ins I think he got 172hp with strong torque.

142 to 155HP. Same with torque. There seems to be some variation between bikes though they have the same intake and exhaust set up.

Wayne from Tuneboy didn't get that, so I doubt this guy could. Ask him how long on the dyno he thinks it would take. Tuneboy takes awhile to tune with.

I have a set of Nev's cams. I gained about 2 hp on the top end. Some more in the mid range. The dyno tuner said I picked up over a second to redline when revving. I guess maybe if the guy that makes them installs them and tunes them then the results would be better. The thing I realized after installing them is that there were a lot of claims of 160+ Hp with the drop ins, but no dyno sheets to back it up.

Maybe I should just leave well enough alone they did say when they dyno mine and tuned it that its the best one they have done for the set up I have.
They did say it varys with different Rockets eventhough they have the same engine .
But is it true when you do have the cams it sounds a lot more meaner?
Pig9r, so when you put the Nev cams in your getting one 160?
what is your gas mileage on average?

155hp/148ftlbs was my best. Before the peak hp was 152.

Do the cams make it lope at idle?

Just ever so slight. Only thing I really noticed was more midrange pull and quicker revving.

That's going to be my next big modification, I just don't want to make it unreliable or a fuel sucking hog like my MINI.
Is it just a matter of dropping in the new cams and having it tuned again?
