How to TuneECU Video

Boy, there sure is a lot of discussion going on here. And the program can be very confusing, and like most any computer program, will get easier to understand the more you use/play with it. I'm Going to remove my side cover, and get the number on my ECM, just to see. I've used TuneEcu to open my secondaries 100%, and raised the rpm limit a tad, and the top speed. Lowered the cut in for the fan a touch, and tweaked the speedometer error setting. However, I've asked before, and haven't seen an answer YET. "Do any of you have the map that comes on the unrestricted 2013/14 Rockets?" There are so many different maps on the TuneEcu site, and from what I can tell, most are maps that have been customized by users. I'd like to see the factory unrestricted map, to compare to the restricted map. No offense, but I know someone will say, "well all they did was change this to that, so on and so forth", but I'd still like to see the real deal. :)BTW, the last part of my VIN# on my 2013 is: 46DJ563191

The cutoff VIN for the newer unrestricted tune is 574813 so yours is older. The only difference between the old and new is the secondaries are open 100% in gears 1-3 in the new tune. You've set yours to 100% so you now have the new tune. Everything else - fuel, ignition - is the same in the old and new tunes. Here are the old and new tunes for TOR silencers:

.......@TomAm I right in thinking that on this basis I don't need anything else? The first part of the cable (USB to ODB2) will plug directly into the Rocket's connection without any adapter? Unlike a KTM?
Cheers

exactly so it is, you need for the Rocket only the USB_OBD2 cable

My laptop crashed a few months ago, I lost everything.
I am no computer guy but amazingly to me I was able to download TuneECU, read and save the tune that PowerTripp put on my bike and reset the adaptives.
All with the help of Korn.
This qualifies as a good day.
PM me if you need help with only what I stated above. Korn won't help you.

Just stumbled on this old thread thanks to Nolton's new post. I missed this thread as I was out on my big x-country ride last summer. Sure enjoyed reading it and downloaded the docx of dougl.

I must say back in 2012 I could have gotten NOWHERE without the help of Hanso after modding my new R3R.
Thinking I am now about ready to learn more Tune-ECU and wish to thank everybody that has contributed to this thread.

It is indeed TOUGH to learn new technical $hit considering that even simple calculators (faggettabout computers) had not been invented when I finished high school!
