Dealer mechanic said it’s not possible to add GP shifting.
Surely there’s gotta be a way, right?

Is there a way to reverse the crank arm? If you flip the arm it will reverse the pattern.

I propose to do something unbelievable:

Trust hin.

Yes, in our time of millions of Presidents, Covid Specialists, highly educared Influencers and so on, this must be hard - but try to trust him. He seems to be a pro in Physics, because he understands, that two things can not be in the same place at the same time.

The problem is the frame for the foot rests - you can not flip the shifter, because:

- the crank arm has a certain form - it's not straight
- the shifting pin can not be unscrewed to be placed on the other side
- the shaft would have to pass (above mentioned Physics) through the subframe of the footrest

The first two points might be fixed with different parts, but the third is the killer...

Yea, apparently the guy used to work on some race team, back in the day.
Just wanted to see if anyone else was able to do it somehow. Regular shifting is fine, but gp with a quick shifter is how all bikes should be! :’-(

How do you get 'reversed gearing' from the term GP??? I'm guessing a few of us have never heard the term used to identify that. I've looked up the term and it can mean General Practitioner, Grade Pending, Gold Points, Ground Plane, Get Pis_ed, etc etc but I don't see that???

Why would you want it???

You've perked our interest.
