How many do you have and what do you do with them...

To rocket we disagree on some thing

That is the reason I wouldn't modify them especially the 69 .., 70 models
I wasn't suggesting I would modify those years! I am a big fan of keeping things stock as opposed to chopping them. I once sold my 1970 Bonneville to a fella after I had just finished a full restoration. He was telling me how he planned to chop it, put on a peanut tank etc. He was quite surprised when I grabbed the ownership from him and handed him back the cash. I told him he couldn't have the bike. If I were to build a bobber I would go with a '71 on OIF model.

I have an 05 rocket and i ride it, an 07 harley heritage and i ride it, an 09 ninja and i ride it, a 99 blackbird and i ride it, a can am spyder and tge wife rides it, a wife and,, ahem,, coff,,, coff,,,,

Rocket head, what can I say about performance after the Rocket.
Performance-- Like a bob tail diesel - 1500 to 4000 rpm then it's done. Just when the Rocket is starting to run this thing quits.
But the performance is right where I ride.( Old fart.) The most satisfying power band of any bike I've had for the way I ride. A city block is more of a rush than the autobahn.
And I am a Polaris share holder, so get ya some stocks.LOl...NPWD

Variety is the spice of life.

Handling equals the rocket or better. The big Chiefden handles better at low speed due to less rake.
The best is the ride quality. Rocket-- Model T Ford. Ingin -- Rolls Royce. Sorry but nice to see an American Co. catching up. Ride one.

I have my Rocket and Amanda's little Street Triple R is there too. Have to admit I like riding the St3R pretty much and find I'm taking it more often than the Rocket these days. Best thing about that, after close of 5 years of pretty much riding the Rocket every day, its nice to have had a break so that when I get back on it I appreciate it's size and power all the more.

I also get to ride a lot of other Triumphs these days, seeing as how Joe's, where I work is now also the local Triumph dealer - the only one in the Canberra region. Brought a Scrambler home on Thursday night. Arrow pipe. I want one. Had a Bonnie recently too. Almost as nice but way less character. The 270 crank of the Scrambler was really talking to me. Thruxton will be next and a Tiger 800....and then pretty much anything I feel like bringing home. It's actually way better than having to pick just one. :D
