Hey, geo, just ignore the potshot from the peanut gallery! You did ask for ideas in the OP and I have one.

For the sake of having a really "cool" T-shirt, one that doesn't have just half of the available message content, I'd suggest doing something on the reverse, like putting a picture of a Saturn V rocket at full throttle, trailing flame and smoke! Above that imnage put the word "Rockets..." and below it "...they're not just for NASA!" (or "Spacemen" or whatever else suits the bill) Such images would look great on a black shirt (my preferred riding apparel color) provided that the R3 pictured o front is another color (hint, hint... like Mulberry Red!).
