Hi-Lo switch wanted.

Mate of mine needs a Hi-Lo beam switch for his RIII. Fried his and dealer wants him to buy the whole clutch side switch block. If anyone knows where to purchase a replacement switch that would be real handy... thanks.

PM Richard he may be able to locate one thru his new parttime job at "Joe's", Joe's is a bike shop that started out as a wrecker and I believe still is

My hi lo switch fried too, leaving me with just the running lights, no low or high beams. Not wanting to buy the whole switch box either I just opened up the housing and wired the high beams permanently on. I probably could have rigged up an external high low beam and put the swtich in the foglights opening located in the heated grips box, but I always ride with the high beams on in the daylight and I don't ride at night anymore. I may do it anyway just for the heck of it though.

I have a jerry rigged ignition switch too. The bike is getting old and parts of it just don't work like they used too.......just like me.

Still have the original primary TPS and original turn signal bulbs though, not bad for 92k miles and nearly 8 years.

Does anyone have a fried , damaged or 'not being used' hi-lo switch at all. Likes been suggested may be worth the effort to try a few of the larger wreckers to see if it matches up with one from another bike. Good chance there would be other bikes running the same or similar switch... i've tried all my sources and have come up empty handed so far... thanks again.

I can tell you there are no Triumph bits at Joe's but I can see if he knows where I might find a switch/block to fit.

Thanks mate , just need the actual hi-lo rocker switch ... not the whole switchblock. That's what he's trying to avoid , buying the whole switchblock from Triumph just to get a new switch. Wondering if Triumph would just use a generic switch that's quite likely used on other bikes ... thought maybe.

As I thought, no Triumph parts. I only work a short day on Tuesdays but will see tomorrow if some other switch will work.
