Hi Guys!!
I would really like to Thank You folks for the kind welcome and the helpful advice. Eventho' I still have a Harley and reckon will keep it, I have never been as openly welcomed by a group of people in my life.
I must say the T3 and this group is making me feel better about my decision on bikes as well as my still unbelievable first few rides on this fantastically fast bike.
I mean I was almost pulled off by the strength of this monster when you grind down on the throttle. Funny thing is, it's still under warrantee and of course we should not get down on it but .5 of what that throttle has is more than I have felt since last on my friend's Busa'. I mean daaayyyuuum.
I was in a crash in MB,SC 2 years ago and the HD did not have enough pull with a quick twist of the throttle to get out the way of the drunk on the Camry who pulled in front of me at 50 mph.
I then got the replacement bike from his ins. thought about it and went and placed a zipper's 120 cu in motor in it. I figured that would about ove me quickly where ever I needed to be in a quick fashion. I was right.
It dynos at around 130 hp and 120 something in the ft lbs area. Yeah it's fun but still runs hot in any sort of parade traffic and being a vet I go to a lot of charity rides. Sure is nice to not have that worry with the T3. Just to test it, I sat for 1 hour on I95 hwy to DC for Rolling Thunder . It was 102 F and the bike never ran hot nor burned my thighs.
The fast little cars would line up in the fast lane and haul buggy 100-110 + and I was right in the middle hiding as best I could.
I pulled off the road for gas and the 4 behind me followed me to the ramp gas station. Thought I was gonna' have to whip out the blade LOL!! All they wanted to do was see what the "heck" kinda bike that was who could zoom them so easy and without taching much LOL!!! I felt I had arrived then LOL!!!
Anyway, I fly around the country a lot with my job and will not be able to post everyday but when I do, I'm long winded. Hope you do not mind.
Again....Thank You guys for all the info and welcomes. I am about to look up some things and repost ifn' I run into more difficulties.
warmly.........
