Handlebar mount

Hi all,

Bought a '08 R3 August 2010, loving this bike, it's the "most" motorcycle I've ever had.

Been lurking and learning on this site for a while now.

I want to mount my phone for GPS purposes on the handlebar and like to know whose had good experiences with which types of mounts.

My phone measures 4.42 X 2.26 X .47 so I guess it would have to be universal.

TechMounts has some nice mounts. They cost more than the Ram mounts but are chrome vs plastic.
 
This one is awesome. can be adjusted to fit any device like a glove, and there's no way it will 'fall out' when you adjust it right I cut a piece of 1'' rubber hose and placed it around the handlebar to protect the chrome, then I used 2 pipe fasteners to secure the holder to the bike.

All in I spent about $35, and I am really happy with how it turned out

Well I went cheap and picked up this Arkon universal mount from Wal Mart online for about $12.
Took it for a 70 mile test ride today.
Happy to report I still have the phone!

Actually it feels very solid and didn't vibrate, could read it easily except when the sun was directly on it.

GPS? What does it matter where you are going as long as you are riding a Rocket?
