Hi All
After 2 weeks and 800 miles the rock(et) hard suspension has bolloxed my back :? so an urgent replacement is in order. At 10 stone wet I hardly compress the originals when I jumpon the bike.
Reading previous posts the choice in the UK seems to be Hagon vs Progressive, has anyone any comments.

Anything is better .
And either of those are great replacements .

Come on , Save your back and spend your pennies ,

I think the Hagons are cheaper, if thats a consideration, and you can get them from the UK rather than importing.

I know looks are subjective, but I think the progressive 440's look better. Especially in black chrome.

I use the progressives and love them. I never tried the Hagon's so I cannot comment on them but will say ANYTHING is better then the stockers. Not sure how much the Hagon's go for but while the close out sale is going on at this specific store $388.95 USD is a great price (just so you are aware the product is not discontinued, only that this vendor will no longer offer them) Here is the link if interested:

good luck on whichever you choose. You can't go wrong with either

Do Hagon do a model stecific one yet, couldn't see it in their website? What length are you using, some go for an inch over stock to quiken the steering? I'm not concerned about that but as a lard arse (20stone or 280lbs) with the ladies fron eight to eleven stones, I'll want heavy duty springs me thinks? What damping adjustment do they have?
While I'm asking questionswhere do all the biro's go?

Progressives won out.

Thanks for the replies guys. Went for the Progressives from Bikerevival cos - i, Prog Spring Rate. ii, Thought I'd try the auto damping. iii Just get the impression they may be a bit tougher. iv, Lifetime 'limited' guarantee, although it may be difficult if it ever comes to a claim.
Steve reckons at 10 stone wet the std springs will be fine for me.
Money I had not bargaind on but I hope my spine will thank me, they should be here by the weekend.

In Love Again

Just come back from nearly 60 miles on the bumpiest Forest roads I know of with a smile on my face, :D the difference is incredible. Before I fittted the Progressives less than 10 miles left me stressed, hurting, pissed off and thinking I'd made a very expensive mistake. Now it reminds me of the the expression we all used in the 70s & 80s after fitting new shocks to our Jap bikes 'wow, feels like it's on rails' (even 'handles like a Triumph').
The bike even seems to lean better on smoother roads, possibly because the wheel is in better contact with the road. The bike feels half the size and weight.
Even the throttle lag seems to have dissappeared, but that's another topic.
