Green Machine Down...

The green machine WAS fixed Saturday morning. The dealer says that he had to air-mail the parts in and that he and his mechanics have worked like dogs to re-assemble the bike. Which I don't doubt. It was too late for me to pick it up (I was already on my way to the TransAlps tour, tales of which being told under "Maudlin", with the Daytona 675) but my local Triumph dealership has been been extremely responsive:) .

Yet, I still wanna know why I have the dubious privilege of accounting for one-third of the world-wide warranty reports relative to second gear engagement failure:confused: .

Contrary to some smart ass comments I got from a few European Rocket III owners :( , I am very respectful of my bikes' mechanical well-being. Fact is that the last failure (Rocket III trans aside) I have had in the last 12 years (that's more than 100'000 miles) is a blown rear cylinder head gasket on my Harley.
