I know zakly how you felt, Amigo!
Last June I had to give up my cross America, 5 week ride, due to medical issues.

I'd say slowly improving. I got some use of my left hand now and can pull some clutch levers in at least once. I'm still having bending my left arm more than 45 degrees. My wife bought me a new helmet but I can't put it on or take it off but myself.
Once I can get the helmet on by myself then I'll be riding again.

I could imagine that having something as enticing as that Guzzi 1200 Sport sat in the garage waiting for you, there could well be some frustration and impatience, so I don't blame you...
