Here in Alaska, as you can imagine, we arent supposed to be able to start riding until early-mid April...due to a very low snow year and temps in the low 40's (farenheit for those at the bottom of the vast pacific ocean) I was able to "Unleash the beast" this last saturday March the 7th!

Pretty stoked about that...my sister, also a Triumph rider is still sitting under 2 feet of snow in New Hampshire. Once I got on the highway and determined there was no grit I promptly wound the big girl up to a buck ten and blew the stink out of er! -Doug

Doug,

A similar story from North Dakota. I brought the bike over to the warm side of the garage on Saturday. On Sunday after the air pressure and all fluids were checked, we went for a ride.

The snow is almost all gone. We never had much this year. 57 F today, we set a record. The poor folks in the north east corner of the country have a bit of snow to deal with.

Later,

Hey Douglas...before all the tourists hit Alaska, you could ride out of Anchorage over to Bird then Gird and back. The last time I was in Alaska (about two years ago), I was in a car. Wish I had been on my bike.
