Got my first speeding ticket... ouch!

My worst was in Arkansas driving a semi, pulling a 16' X 80' mobile home. The nice officer asked why i was in such a hurry and I explained about being stuck in traffic 4 hrs and was behind schedule and was gonna be out after dark or going fast. I couldnt believe he let me go. speed limit for oversize loads was 45mph, he got me at 86mph at the top of one of the hills on I-540. Fines for commercial vehicle speeding at the time was 50$ per mph over speed limit. He was shaking his head as he walked past my pilot car/wife. Told her he didnt know where to start writing that ticket so he would just let us go. I would still be happy to buy him dinner!!!!!

Shoot! I have never had a Prime mover that would do 140 KPH at the bottom of a hill let alone the top. except in Angel gear ,and you would never pull the thing back into gear if things got messy . you need to be in gear for a Jake brake to work, if the cops caught you in NSW doing 140KPH in a Loaded Semi they would be all over you like a cheap suit

We are on they way to hockey one morning, see the radar trap< we were ok, one lad was late, cop stops him, says "I've been waiting for you all morning", buddy says " I rushed here as fast as I could", cop snickers, lets him go, next lad, same result, but he didn't have a good enough line,$120 ticket.

Just got one the other day
The one before that I was doing 179kmph in a 100 zone...off to court one. The thing is a mate
was riding his bike & we both got tickets & went to court.
Long story short they had to prove who was doing that exact speed...they couldn't so it got thrown out
I know it was me as my mate (on a Harley) was just behind me in top gear & I was still in 4th at that time we got pinged

Beautiful countryside, I probably would’ve got a ticket on that road too!
