Good motorcycle boots?

I have 2 pair of Sidis, one B2 and one Rain model (can't remember which) and am very happy with them. The B2s in particular are light, all day comfortable, supportive, and have had no issues in 4+ years. Since I wear a 15, motorcycle specific boots cost no more than a compromise boot for me and I take comfort in wearing something designed for the job. YMMV Sidi sells a lot of "normal" appearing boots so you don't have to do the whole Power Ranger look.
Are you concerned at all about this particular model hanging up on the pegs when you need to get your feet down in a hurry, or increasing the effort needed to use the foot controls?

I have no concerns about these boots with ridingas I get about on lace ups normally, but I havent tried these boots on or bought them yet.Tried a number of dedicated MC boots and find I cant get my foot in them.Too bloody narrow 'lasts' in most of them. Definitely dont like the power Ranger look either!

they look good quality, but I want something that goes on (and off) a bit quicker and easier.....

Made local - ish to me. they've been making motocross boots for ages - and are branching out.

Must pop over and try a pair - I've tried their hunting stuff and it's good.

I use lace-up boots generally. Either "Tactical" or good mountaineering boots. I've had enough of being uncomfortable in Motorcycle boots - Most are FA use once you dismount.

That's a common complaint. The waterproof Sidis are borderline off the bike, the B2s work great for walking around all day at rallies, etc. My understanding is the dedicated sport riding or racing boots are the worst off-bike.

We UK-trained riders know the true meaning of suffering. The old "Gold Top" boots had a reputation for causing blisters where you'ld believe impossible. Oddly the company that made them is now reputed to make some of the finest bike riding boots there are. http://www.altberg.co.uk/Web/index.jsp

For Spanish mid-summer I use Magnum Century or Hi-Tec Goretex lined trekking boots (if rain's threatened). Winter Chiruca (Spanish) and if it's really foul Salomon (high Alpine boots).

But Kamval and the sister marque "Nival" offer these speed clip boots - and they really are fast to get on and off - useful if a ferret runs up your trouser leg and you decide to disrobe fast. I have to admit I am very tempted. They also do a "desert" unlined version and an extra high version.

I've had Altberg Clubmans for the last 6 years and they are comfortable and still totally waterproof. Keep feeding them with Leder Gris and you can't go wrong

Ferk! Stormtrooper, more like it!:) Hideous!

Hideous is being kind. Ill have to remember that pic next time I see sportsbike riders laughing at cruiser rider garb.
I could imagine some sportsbike rider going into a a biker bar and ordering a cafe latte with low fat milk wearing these.LOL
