Just got off the phone with a dealer I've been talking to. 2017 roadster black/red. Backrest and luggage rack included (I'll install to save some more $$). 13,800. He's out of state so no tax (I'll have to pay that out of pocket to MD- @$1000 tax tag title). Was thinking about trying to get him down to 13,500. If I jump on it, it's $500 down over the phone. Financing through him (comparable to local credit union).

Thoughts?

If you're prepared to import I've seen them in Canada for $16000 Cad which is a little over $12500 US but then you have to do the hoops thing to bring it across the border. Pretty easy from USA to Canada but I dont know about the other way round or warranty.

If it is $13,800 out the door, then it is a very good price. I think list is $15,400 plus a couple of hundred for shipping, another couple of hundred for dealer prep would easily put you at $16,000. Since it is a current year model, don't expect drastic cuts in price (until end of year). I assume the luggage rack is a result of the Triumph cash incentive. If you can get him down a little more, go for it, but $13,800 is definitely a fair price for a new Rocket.

Check this out at National Powersports: National Powersports Distributors
They are selling new 2017 Roadsters for $10,999 plus shipping. Shipping was quoted as $500 to Ohio. No other fees or charges. I was all set to do this deal when a local dealer beat this deal on a new 2016; still can't believe I bought this bike so cheap. Since you live fairly close, you could save the shipping charges and ride the bike home!

Shipping Price: $599 to Washington state. Under AU$15,000 all up. The Aussies on the forum could buy one, time share it, and garage/board it with @1olbull.;):D:whitstling::whitstling:

You would never be lonely again Steve and have lots of different riding companions all year round.;):sneaky::sneaky::sneaky::D

Downunder Riders ..... $1000 each ..... how many of us read the posts and think that just one day you would ride across the States and meet some of these characters .... a couple already have ..... we could have a "time share" Rocket for holidays .... maybe even a chain of Aussie pubs to stay in or...or maybe a 747 to get there ....... sometimes my brain runs on ..... might need a new TPS.
