I've just been looking for a tidy handle bar mount and stumbled on this.
RAM Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base with 1" Ball Unpackaged - RAM-B-309-1U | RAM Mounts
Not sure if comparability yet but looks tidy. Any thoughts? I'll also be hardwiring a usb-c cable up there so if don't have to worry about power. I don't go out in the rain as a general rule, on the odd occasion I find myself going home in the rain I'll stick it in my pocket or under seat.

My bars are 38mm not the standard 1inch....nice tho..

The 1” refers to the ball portion of the mount. The mount itself uses two longer screws for the mirror/switch assembly that the grips butt up against. Look at the picture again to see how it attaches. There is a max length on center for the mounting screws at 1.58 inches (40.13mm).

Not sure this would help you but thought I would try. I use these RAM ball mounts on all my bikes and they allow mounting gps, radar detector or dash cam depending on what I need for that day’s ride.
