GIPro /ATRE screwing up

My GIPro is screwing up. When I put it in 1st the number 1 dims and the unit will begin making a clicking sound almost like a turn signal. The bike will begin to miss-fire. When I go to 2nd. it shows a bright 1 but will then run good. Third gear will show a 3 sometime will stay 1. When i'm in fifth it will only show 4. I don't have a manual. I read somewhere it has a learning cycle it may need to go thru. Any suggestions on how to do that? My bike is a Standard 2008. Thanks

I'd unhook it totally,
plug your stock plugs back together,
and do a 12 minute tune on her.
After you get that part, then I'd rehook the GI-Pro
and let it relearn as you take her through her paces.
Making sure of course everything is clean, tight and well connected.
that's just what "I'd" do,

I will dig my GIpro instructions out and scan the learning page for u and post it when I Finnish work mate . I'm sure I have it lying around in one of my drawers . Just incase u need to take it through the learning process again

Reset

If some gears are not indicated correctly, reset the unit and setup it up again.
If you have a SpeedoHealer (or other speedometer calibrator) and you change the calibration factor, probably you have to reset the GIpro and set it up again.

Cut off the power of the unit 6 times in a row, while the GIpro display is counting up and shows 3, 4 or 5.

You can power on/off the display by flipping the engine RUN switch on/off.
On the next power up, the display will count backwards (6 to 1).

The memory is clear now and you can perform the Setup procedure.


Troubleshooting

Disconnect the GIpro connector and check whether the pins are broken, bent or pushed out of position. Reconnect the plug, and make sure that all connections are good and the connector is fully seated.

Make sure the GIpro plug is not loose in the diagnostic connector. Use the long cable tie supplied to secure the plugs together.

If you can not execute the Setup procedure, your battery might be old or weak. Charge the battery or connect another battery using a jumper cable.

If some gears are not indicated properly when the engine is running and clutch is released, reset the unit and setup again.

If the problem persists, your clutch might be slipping

wish I'd read the instruction manual....

If you are doing it from a reset, find a long quiet road.

If you are doing it from first install, go out at 6am in the morning when there is no traffic as it will start to "learn" as soon a you take off.

Learned that first time around when first fitted mine. got 200 yards up the road and it went into 2nd gear and I had to stop behind slowing traffic.
