Gearbox trouble Help

Gid aye Evil Mitch , my knowledge is basic at best . I suggest for what its worth, take off the gear selector linkage and see if the shaft via its lever engages gears so as to rule out a linkage issue . A long shot but , my shaft got bent and wouldn't change up , removed linkages straightened shaft with a rubber mallet (last resort before strip down) solved that issue some 25,000 ks ago. Good luck.

Since you can go to first (down on the shift lever) but can't engage any up shifts the first suspect would be a linkage problem. Can you disconnect it and manually shift up? Or adjust the linkage to allow for a full engagement? This would be an easy at home, no cost fix.
If you find you can upshift by holding the shift lever in the up position then it might be the detent spring.

Thanks mate ill give that a go

Thanks mate ill have a look at that .

Always best to walk away .. then attack it when you have an idea what to check. I'll give Triumph Australia a call .. but linkage check may just identify the problem by the sound of it mate.

That was the case with Bulldawgs some years back, just out of adjustment a little.

I can select the gears guys but i have to keep my toes under the shifter. The moment i take my toes away its straight out of gear
