Hey all,
I have to remove my front tire. What tools do I need and what is the proceedure?
Thanks for any help or advice..

Buy a metric bolt with a head that is the correct size (19mm?) and shove the head in the axle. hold it with vise grips & loosen the axle. Works fine. I chose to weld a hex nut on the bolt & use a 19mm wrench to remove the axle. Same approach on the rear if the axle won't stay still while tightening the hex nut.

Allen wrenches that size cost $$$$$.

See ya.

Got me a set of large 1/2" drive metric allens for 10 bucks at harbinger freight.

Thanks all....
I broke down and purchased a 19mm allen socket, 16 bucks..
Easy to take a part if you have the right tools.
New metzler should be on the porch via UPS when I get home. Down to the shop to get the new tire mounted and I am ready to ride....
If the weather cooperates, the weather guy says snow down to 1500 feet by monday..
Man I love the great northwest, makes you appreciate the good days and take advantage of them...
Thanks again everyone for the input on this
