Friend bought a bike exactly like mine

2014 Rocket III Roadster
So I've had my 14 R3R for about 2 months. I tend to ride with the same 4 guys from work who own a variety of bikes (Victory, Honda, etc.) I have to admit it felt good being the only Triumph owner. Then yesterday one of my friends trades in his M109R for a 14 R3R; same white racing stripe as mine!!

At first I was like WTF! But later I realized as a newly converted R3 ambassador, I cannot deny their awesomeness and would only want my friends to experience the same! Just wish he chose one with a red stripe! Thanks for letting me vent
 
Yeah, the red striped model would have been the perfect mate to yours. Just don't tell him when you'll be riding l
 
LOL! He's a good friend. I should have seen if coming. He drove me to pick mine up and we've been on several rides already. He's been talking about mine for weeks. He's a big guy and I believe he really wanted something more stable and with ABS. Either way, the different accessories will separate them. Now, I wonder if I can de-stripe mine. Haha...
 
That's one of the main problems with the Triumph colors on the Roadster verses the old days when they made so many different color schemes. I miss those days as I can honestly say I never saw a color Triumph used on their Rockets that I did not like. Hopefully some day they will realize their mistakes and start offering more color variants. They should come out with a Classic Roadster with the two tone paint schemes !!!!!! and floor boards!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
It would be cool to see some different factory color schemes. Some of the custom paints on this site are awesome.
 
Why not get some of the blacked out bits chromed?

As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
 
I thought the white stripes were 2013 model year and the red 2014???
Are the stripes color an option?
