Hi Has anyone tried to increase the distance that the forward controls can be extended? I'm long legged and would like to add and inch or two. Obviously a longer brake line and gear extender are needed but has anyone build a plate to extend the existing mounts?

Would you be happy with just a highway peg arrangement? Much easier. But not good for local roads with a lot of shifting of course. I just sandwiched some 1/4" steel between the controls and the mount. This is where I wanted the highway pegs/leg rests. But you could put them anywhere you liked . I have new pegs on order. Don't care for these cheap Amazon bits.

No I want to more the current pegs abut 1-2 inch forward. This would be much better for me. I have some ideas but just wanted to see it there was something about that makes it easier to do.

I'm assuming you have a GT and the max length isn't 'max' enough. You should be able to buy bar stock and drill it to move the pegs another few inches forward using the same perch the pegs now use and bolting the pegs to the bar stock. You would likely need to buy another threaded extender for the shifter and a longer brake hose.
