Yep charge it up...it may at least last til spring....though I would still schedule a replacement as more frequent riding is possible.
Hi. Yes, that sounds like a plan. Bought bike in November and hardly used since due to weather. I don’t know how old the battery is. Short answer is a new battery I guess. Not the end of the world eh!! Cheers

If have the Triumph (or an aftermarket )plug that goes on the left infill panel you can use that. If not when you put in new battery add leads for a battery tender you can get too with seat on.

Get an optimate charger, these not only charge the battery but cycle it by discharging and then recharging which keeps the battery in good condition and it will last for years. They are especially useful if the bike is going to be sat for a couple of weeks/months at a time with no use and also prevents it from discharging to levels that damage the structure. In warmer climates this is not as necessary but in the UK...Yeah, go for it!!

Hi, that sounds a great idea. I’ve had to take panniers and seat off just to get to the battery. I’ll look into it. Do you have a brand name for yours? Cheers

I use a Battery Tender brand as it is a smart charger and you can leave plugged in. It has a 2 pin flat quick disconnect SAE plug. Most of the good tenders use same plug so can easily move between vehicles

My 2005 has a phantom battery drain when sitting for any length of time. I keep it on the Battery Tender 24/7 if it slips under 12 volts your dead in the water.. !!

Hi ...yep mines on a battery tender [or life support as I call it] permanently here in the UK with our crappy weather... you never know when your gonna get out for a ride here! Plus mine has the factory alarm which gradually saps all your battery power... so as I park her in the garage I plug her in ... battery always good to go in case we get a dry sunny day!
