A plate with holes will sound like farting in a bath tub, a la 80’s Suzuki “L” model cruisers.

I had one of those. Sounded like a bunch of sick bumble bees when you backed off of it lol

I dunno, there's allot to an efficient exhaust, especially an exhaust to increase / enhance tq/hp. That said, how would covering the azz end with a plate full of holes affect back pressure and or overall performance??

I don't know really.
Take a plastic bag and stick it over your head, punch a few small holes in it to breath through ..... then go for a run.
See how it goes.
