I've ridden Sam's bike with Preds on them and it was quite a bit quicker than my Jardine-equipped R-3 even though it had some clutch problems. BTW my bike had TORS on it when I bought it and the Jars were quite an improvement over them. And also, by the way, I do think the performance "numbers on a graph" for your bike are quite impressive for a bike with TORS but I'm quite sure your TuneBoy and intake modification account for that. But there is more to life than JUST performance. . . .
I've seen the Preds up close and personal and I think they look terrific. They look better than the Jars.
They sound great too and that sound is fully, quickly and easily modifiable to match any rider's tastes. They sound better than the Jars.
They run a lot cooler than my Jars, several hundred degrees cooler so they won't cook my right leg. They are safer than the Jars.
They will prevent me from continuing to burn my calves which are now scarred from burns suffered as a result of casually bumping into the Jardine pipes. They won't permanently disfigure me by leaving scars on my body like the Jars already have.
They are custom pipes that apparently won't be made any more and are economically scarce and rare. They aren't mass marketed like the Jars.
And unlike the dyno tuning services you paid for, they are a tangible item that others can see, touch, hear, and feel. If ever I want to move on to a different set of pipes, I'll be able to sell them, probably at a profit. I have a buyer for my Jars but there is no "profit" there, only a handsome offset against my Preds purchase price.
My appreciation for the Predators goes much, much further than numbers on a graph. Second gear wheelies sound like a lot of fun, too.
