I need to replace the O-Ring gaskets on the oil tank pipe that is leaking. the manual says you have to pull throttle bodies to pull the oil tank. can the tank be raised up enuff to pull the pipe w/o pulling the throttle bodies?

They have a bolt at each end plus the boot clamps. Then you can lift them up and zip tie them to the frame without unhooking anything. It will fight you some getting it out of the boots. Bring your o-rings to the dealer with you. There was some controversy when I ordered mine. One was way to big.

Yea, stock intake plumbing still on but I've had it off before to sync the throttle bodies

I think it's less of an arse-pain to just pull the throttle body. I made a 200mm long 3mm hex bit to get to the bottom boot on cyl2 then just yanked the whole thing off. I have no doubt I would have damage the throttles or scratched the oil tank if I had have tried it the other way.

This is the only problem I've had with my Roadster is the oil tank plumbing leaking. I loosened the oil tank, rearranged it and tightened it back down. Hasn't leaked since. Must have moved it in the right direction. I did order the O-rings and have them on hand just in case I need to remove the oil tank and replace.

I know when I looked at the ordeal of removing the oil tank I knew the throttle bodies needed to moved out of the way. Fooling with bikes enough now to know that it's best to remove stuff and get it out of the way rather than working around it.
