Do I need a new clutch?

My guess is the extra clutch work while doing lots of turning of the handlebars loosened or stretched your cable a bit. Nothing to worry about just adjust it.

Do you have the service manual or a link to it? There is a description in it how to adjust the clutch and how much free play to have. If your clutch was fried I think it would be slipping while you are accelerating.

The club that I belong to have skills Sunday once a month, I put the Rocket through hell for a couple of hours and have never once had to adjust the clutch

Nope no SNOW down here Flip if you have any extra you can keep it
The Rocket gears are easy to change without the clutch on the way up 1-5 for some reason I have never tried it on the way down 5-1, so I suppose I have a semi automatic
