Dismantling the Rocket for painting - Work in Progress

I got quotes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. In the end, I found a guy on Craigslist who is older and does work on the side for cash. He says he's been doing body work and paint for 33 years. His shop had two vehicles in progress, he had tons of pictures, and seemed to know his stuff.

I expect high quality, but I haven't gotten the parts back yet, so I cannot say for what the end result will be. I'm paying him about $1,000 for a two-tone job, pin stripe, and clear coat. He say's he'll do 3x coats of each color, then cut them back via wet sanding, then a coat of clear which is cut back, and then four more coats of clear.

So we'll see. I'll post lots of pics when I get the parts and do the reassembly, and then we'll see what level of quality results.
