Disc brake bolts

Traditionally, any bolts or nuts that were important ,eg. wheels, brake parts, even filters on large equipment, we would always put a paint stripe on them so we could visually see if they have become loose over time.

Yes that what we do at work also but my bike just has them on the head of the bolt, not continued onto the surface that it's holding.

@Jag I wouldn't think twice about reusing the bolts. I would clean everything up and apply a drop of blue loctite and use the money you save for a bottle of single malt to celebrate a job well done!
