If you ship the bike north to my place, I will personally verify that the bike hasn't been overheated or damaged. Of course this test will take several months to complete. I won't charge you a cent to check it.... (out of the goodness of my heart). (Why ship North??? because us Canadian's are honest people.... Would you respect someone with a name like Warp with your bike????? ) 
All kidding aside, as already said, no issues running the bike with nothing in the overflow tank so long as the rad is almost full.
In the old days when no vehicles had overflow tanks, we filled the rads 3/4 full and ran them like that. No overheating issues. If you filled them too much, they would puke coolant out the overflow tube.
