I realized that after three cups of coffee. Reading at 4AM is probably not a good thing. I will post a pic of this "condition" and the caramel-sticky did not register until after the shower. Yes, Appalachians take showers:D

I can testify to that, rain from a clear blue sky only has one explanation.

now u"ll wouldnt be talking bout me now r u:eek:
and as stb said run it like u stole it that way the mustard wont have time to catch up :D:D
if it was running rich i believe your bag would be black and not a mustard color

Well, guess I'll just have to live with the discoloration on a set of really expensive Beetle bags. The Harley boys ought to have fun with that everytime I pull up:mad:. Mustard to go with a Hog sandwich.

Could it be 'varnish'? Like when gas sits over the winter and starts getting gummy?

You could have had a buildup that's working its way out... just a thought...

Could just be the heat from the exhaust burnishing the clear coat on the bottom side of the Corbins but I used some of the Honda spray cleaner/wax and it seemed to clean some of it off. Its been ridden a lot RatBoy, no old fuel in it. Still got those highway pegs too. Didn't fit, need to find a VTX rider.

Also I think your just not riding fast enough:eek:
Ya gotta open it allllllll the way up sometimes just to blow the bad mojo out of em;)

I think Sweetennbabe might be right and you don't have to open her all the way up to clear her throat!!!

But you have to hold on tighter:D

Don't slow it down with black paint thats how they muzzled the Roadster!!!!!

seriously your probably right about the heat affecting the clear coat I have read where they send a heat shield for the bottom of the beatle bags now as some have gotten so hot they cracked.

I already blistered and cracked the original set with the stock exhaust set up. This is the second set:(.Me thinks I see another crack in the bottom of the right side. Dealer ordered me some heat shield material and I hope to get it and apply it before I leave Friday morning. I would like to get three 24 inch TORS extension tubes to clear the bags. Hell, its just a motorcycle and after trying the Thunderbird on for size on Monday I am thinking bad thoughts.................somebody stop me !!!!!!!!!!

Go to Advanced Auto in the exhaust tips and get some DEI Heat Tape. I've got it on the bottom of my bags because they sit @ 1/2" off of the Jardine cans. Works like a champ.

You'll have to clean the crud off of the bottom of the bags or the heat tape won't stick very well.
