The show started yesterday and goes through tomorrow. I'm taking Pretty Pillion and meeting some friends there. Hopefully some of you other Rocket drivers will get the chance to see the pretty new things they have at the Washington Convention center this weekend.

We saw Taildragger and his lovely wife Karen at the show. My big take away was the Di Salvo Customized Roadster, especially when I saw the Carpenter sticker on the front fender. However, the bike is a regular roadster with cool ascetics.

If that was your big takeaway, Bobby, a stock bike with some decals on it, then you, like me, musta' thought that this year's was the most anemic IMS ever!!!

@TriumPhil It was not an over-the-top event. It was good but several brands were missing like KTM, Apirila, Moto Guzzi, and no half naked girls show casing products. Triumph had a great spread as did most of the brands who were there. My biggest disapointment was seeing the Ducati Scrambler in person. It looks good and they have several cool paint jobs, but it can't be riden as a Scrambler offroad in many states becasue it does not come with a Scrambler exhaust...

Been reading some articles are the Duc Scrambler and the crowd it's being marketed to (basically young people who think they're unique aka hipsters haha). It's kinda interesting. Personally I can't decide if I like it or not. I see some pictures that make it look nice, and others that don't. I guess when it comes to scramblers I'm not a fan of modernized styling.

That said there's a real nice Triumph Scrambler around here. It's done up to look like an old military bike with lots of dark green and black, it even had a fin on the front fender with some ident numbers. What really took me by surprise was that the young lady riding it couldn't have been more than 20.

Yep, Richard, scramblin'... now that's the way to learn how to toss a bike around properly! Your vid took me back to my first years of two-wheeling - off road and carefree!

HOW bout a 320HP model would that make it interesting ?

The scrambler video reminded me of my CL350 Honda days back in the Seventies. Street and light dirt riding was very fun on it. And I wore sneakers dirt riding back then too.

Yes it would Art. What ever happened to the monster bike you were teasing us about a few months ago? And why didn't this Di Salvo Roadster have a carpenter engine in it?
