don't know where the alarm is.
connector is under the tank u disconnect the alarm harness then u replace it with the by pass plug.
it is a connector (guessing 10 pins) and it has two black short wires that loop to complete the two circuits.
some other guys will step in with more details

Thank you. I've attached 2 pictures of the connectors under the seat. I tried putting the bypass plug in the white plug, but all I got was headlight and tail light on and no dash lights ( in the tachometer). Is it the plug under the sealed black plastic one?

i don't think the white connector is it
it is easy to find when the plug is in there but that is not the case on yours.
perhaps the best bet is to follow the alarm wires to the connection/connector so u can un plug the alarm and replace the bypass plug.
 
That's the alarm plug circled. The white plug is for left or right hand controls I can't remember
