He either had way too little air in it, or two Aussies the size of average Americans on it. :D:laugh:

:roll::roll: you lot slay me. At the slightest mention of darkside everyone retreats to their well worn corners and prepares for battle. Highly entertaining. BTW...has anyone actually voted on this thread?

Bloody Oath!!!
Always good for giggle till people who have never ridden them start getting all Expert about it

I've ridden a Rocket with one fitted (recently) and it was the worst riding experience I've had on a Rocket or pretty much any big bike for that matter. Didn't push the limits so can't comment on grip but the feel at any legal speed and through corners was horrible. Made the bike feel heavy and unpredictable, and needed effort to get it to start to go over and then just dropped into corners. I can see how that uneven transition could give the illusion of good handling to someone wanting to feel vindicated about their decision to be a cheap arise but that's all it is, an illusion. I'll never do that again. Just my opinion.

I agree good description

It is common for most everyone here to disagree without being derisive, rude and derogatory. Then there are always the two exceptions.

I know this is an old post but I was wondering who voted for the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 and what they thought about it.
I'm currently getting one fitted because that's the only directional tyre I could get hold of.

I am working with a sample size of one but here is what I noticed when on a ride with someone who went dark side, and he was not on a rocket. He said motorcycle tires would shred in a couple of thousand miles so he went dark side. The small group of us went on about a 350 mile ride in all kinds of road types: heavy urban freeway, mountain sweepers, and tight twisties. The guy using the dark side tire was a nut (in a fun way, lol) who could ride the crap out of his bike, always toward the front, smoking that dark side tire, and just generally having a good time. But in the high speed sweepers or tight twisties he had to back off the throttle and would lag behind. When we got back to the straighter stuff he again would ride like bat guana. Again on anything other than a road with corners he did things with his bike I would not even attempt but in those turny spots he couldnt hang. Is this at all the norm for the dark side? I am not attempting to pursuade anyong either way on the dark side issue to each his own, just wanting to learn a bit.
